Preparing your business for natural disasters

Jan Norman points us to an AT&T list of disaster preparation and recovery tips for small businesses:

Along with them, I share some from my experience.

  1. Find out how prepared the vendors/suppliers are for disasters. If they take a hit, our bottom line gets impacted.
  2. Have a plan to protect your machinery, inventory or stocks from flooding. If it is possible to shift them, identify safe and device a plan to shift them to higher places.
  3. If possible, have a pair of employees stay with you overnight in your premises to affect these plans.

Do you have any other suggestions?
