GETTING THE BEST OUT OF OUR EMPLOYEES

How do we motivate our employees?

Is it by paying better compensation, or by providing a fun workplace, or by acting like one of them or by communicating to them about the business on a regular basis?

Researchers have come to the following conclusion:

All employees when they join want the company to succeed, and they are willing to help the organisation in this goal.

Then why is it we are saddled with employees who seemed to go through the motions and indifferent to the organisations growth?

Researchers have found the reason.

They say that there is a link between good employee management and communication and business results.

What is good employee management and communication?

Here too researchers have the answer.

Employees expect us to provide active leadership. Give them a clear understanding of what you expect from them. Actively provide them with performance feedback. Provide them an atmosphere where they are encouraged to come up with ideas. They are also looking for opportunities to grow along with accountability and autonomy.

What does this finding mean to us?

If we are to get the best out of our employees, be employees centric, provide a congenial workplace for them where they can feel appreciated for their contributions to your business and also provide them an opportunity to grow professionally.

As I was saying earlier, researchers have found that there is definite link between good employee relationship and business results.

So let’s not ignore these facts.
