ENCOURAGE JOB SATISFACTION

Dr. Loehr offers the following tips for encouraging job satisfaction, based on findings from Full Engagement Profile
1.    If an employee has high job satisfaction, then you can be sure that he will be very effective on the job. Encourage this effectiveness by building up the employees self – confidence through training, feedback and recognition.
2.    Make them feel that the work they do is consistent with their values. Enhance this by relating to them how the organisations products or a service creates a positive impact on the society. This will make the employee feel that the work he is doing is worthwhile. 
3.    Employees high on job satisfaction are motivated to try new approaches and are willing to stick their neck out and are also capable of taking calculated risks. Make your organisation a platform for these employees to showcase their skills. Encourage and reward this behaviour.
4.    Employees who are extremely satisfied with their jobs have warm feelings towards everything and anything about their organisation. Incubate this feeling by making the workplace a positive experience to employees. 
5.    Individuals who have high job satisfaction report that they wake up every morning with a positive feeling and happy to go to work .Dr. Loehr’s research has shown that “Top performers in every field know how to enhance performance through rest and recovery.” Provide meaningful rests and break in the workplace.
